I’m afraid of heights. To the point where I can’t climb a ladder and go higher than 2 steps up. It’s been something I’ve struggled with my whole life, I don’t know why. Anyway, yesterday I faced my biggest fear and went out with my girlfriend to Pauma Valley to a place called La Jolla Zip Zoom and had the biggest scare, but the biggest reward after I completed the course. This place is beautiful, set in the hills with the largest canyons around. The views are breathtaking and the hawks are flying all through this region, making you feel at one with nature. The crew at this place are fun, kind, informative, but most importantly, they are dedicated to making your time with them safe and entertaining. ~ I have to admit, as I suited up into the harness, took the ride up the mountain to the first launch pad, I was calm. But as soon as we climbed up on that elevated launch pad, I started to quake in my boots. The pictures and video I saw beforehand do not prepare you for the expanse of space that confronts you. And you are up HIGH, looking at the cable that is going to be your speedway down to your landing pad. I’ve gotta be honest, I almost backed out, but I knew if I did I would be so bummed out at myself. So, I pulled my big-girl panties up, and let God take care of the rest. Long story short, it was a Blast, and I truly felt like I was flying. It was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done and I will be doing it again! ~ Check out www.LaJollaZipZoom.com If you’re ever in the area, make it one of your stops. This place is top-notch and the people there are amazing. I know your experience with them will be one you’ll never forget, just as I won’t. ~ I also wanted to share a recipe for an essential oil blend I mixed up before my adventure… My Courage Blend. * Get a 10ml rollerball bottle and mix 3 drops of Bergamot, 3 drops of Tangerine, 2 drops of Basil, and 2 drops of Clary Sage in the bottle, fill the rest with a carrier oil, and roll over your pulse points, your neck, and your chest for feelings of confidence, courage, and self-belief. It might sound strange, but it worked for me!
Happy Zipping! Jana
